AANHPI Program

What is AANHPI Student Achievement Program?

Engaging Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) students through culturally responsive education, the AANHPI Student Achievement Program is a transformative effort to unlock student potential, foster academic success, and advocate for equitable opportunities. The program focuses on providing culturally relevant services and resources, enriching the educational experience for low-income, first-generation AANHPI students, and other underrepresented groups.

Program Information

The AANHPI Student Achievement Program is designed to support OCC’s students and the surrounding community through targeted initiatives and expanded resources. The program is state funded with ongoing categorical funding administered through the Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Student Achievement Program of the Foundation for California Community Colleges. As with most California categorical programs, each annual funding has a two-year expenditure cycle.

The program is designed to serve all individuals who identify as Asian American, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander.
