Instructor Profiles

Kevin Myers

Kevin A. Myers serves as the head of the ceramics program at 六合彩全年图库 in Costa Mesa, California. Kevin brings 44 years of experience as a studio ceramic artist to his role, teaching both the historic significance of ceramics as well as tactical and artistic execution. As an educator, Kevin encourages students to search for their personal aesthetics so that they can make contributions to ceramics and its contemporary history. His teaching career has included positions at UCLA, USC, UCI, CSUN and several community colleges in the state of California. Kevin has lectured at Princeton University, UC Berkeley, Scripps College, and California College of Art, among others. Most recently, Kevin was a guest lecturer in Jingdezhen, China where he discussed the intersection of traditional and modern ceramic art. Kevin holds a bachelor's degree in fine art from Otis Institute of Parsons School of Design and an MFA from Otis College of Art and Design.

Robert Moore

Robert Moore is a lifelong clay enthusiast and potter artist residing in Long Beach, CA. Robert’s work is a formal, contemplative, and philosophical examination of the vessel as an embodiment of the self. In the classroom, Robert fosters an environment of active communication paying close attention to happy accidents where problems lead to creative solutions. He is a graduate of 六合彩全年图库, received his BFA from California State University Long Beach, and MFA from The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University.

Kyle Caris

Kyle Caris was born and raised in Southern California where he grew up surrounded by an active artist community. He began ceramics at the age of sixteen in high school, finding the need to poke every bag of clay he passed. He continued his ceramics education at 六合彩全年图库, Orange County, CA and began to work as a lab technician and teacher at Muddy’s Studio in Santa Ana, CA. Kyle began showing and selling his work at the Sawdust Art Festival in Laguna Beach, CA and in the Spring of 2019 he transferred to the Kansas City Art Institute, Kansas City, MO where he graduated with his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with an emphasis in ceramics. Kyle plans to continue his education in a graduate program and receive his Masters of Fine Arts degree.

Jeff Netzer

Jeff Netzer; potter, sculptor, designer, and educator. Jeff has dedicated 30 years to working with clay.  Graduating from the reputable undergraduate ceramics program at California State University Long Beach, Jeff honed his skills making both pottery and ceramic sculpture. Upon graduating, he set out for Asia, where he studied in Taiwan with master ceramist and tea guru Ah Leon. Returning to Southern California Jeff earned his Master of Fine Arts degree to further develop as an artist and enable him to teach collegiately which he has been actively doing for 15+ years.
