NOTES ABOUT OUR COURSES:
- The Introduction to Astronomy Lab can be taken with any of the following lecture courses: Introduction to Astronomy, Planetary Astronomy, Stellar Astronomy, Cosmology, or Galactic Astronomy. Also, the lab does NOT have to be taken during the same semester as a lecture class.
- Planetary Astronomy, Stellar Astronomy, Cosmology, and Galactic Astronomy are stand-alone courses at the same level as the Introduction to Astronomy class. Each one can satisfy the physical science GE requirement.
- The Introduction to Astrophysics class is targeted to students interested in pursuing the Astronomy AS degree at OCC and also for those looking to study physics, astronomy/astrophysics, or a related major when they transfer.
